Q: What happened to the study groups?
A: Hell if I know. Crying or Very sad

The moderators who agreed to run the groups were Chette (last post: 29 May), Gail (last post: 20 July), Trillium (last post: 8 July), and Daisy (last post: 1 July).

Several people posted on the WW list that they thought might get more use out of the groups if they were via email. I said that I could set up an email gateway for phpBB if there was an interest, but no one responded to that. Later, there were on-list messages about how everyone decided to go elsewhere -- but no one thought it was worth dropping me a line about that (ya think I might have been interested as to what the issues were???).

I have been spending a chunk of time each day cleaning up after spammers who like forums. Consequently, I've now closed down new registrations and locked the other forums.

This forum is still open, and anyone who is already registered can post to it. And if there's any desire to start this again, just say the word; I'd be happy to help.

Dori

This is Olena, I put aside my web work to be present for My Mom.
My Mom made it to age 97 and passed on May 21 2007. She had a long life, died in her own bed of natural causes. It was a natural passing.

Now I am out looking around at the forums I was ignoring.

Specific to the PHP book, It was way too complex. So there was no way I was going to do that with out some one to walk me through it. I got through Chaps on PHP and need to get through the MySql. but probably wont.

For me getting the referral for the book was a big bonus. Very well written.

I really feel my interest will be in leaning Java code, and Java script.
While I struggle on with CSS.

Thanks for making this area available, and for the service you do for women web worker.
